The luckiest!

When you have the image of what love is supposed to be, it is quite surprising when it catches you without makeup on. No blush, eye-liner or lip gloss, just your skin, and your cellulite. When that love looks at you and says, "yup, you're exactly what I never knew I needed" it makes you want to celebrate a day like today.   So, thank you my husband... thank you for being you. Someone who caught me completely by surprise. Thank you for being willing to read books, and watch movies that are weird. Thanks for listening to music that might be a little "too magical" but more than anything, thank you for accepting my special brand of me into your life, and for loving it.
I am the luckiest.
So, now you have a baby. And although some of your friends are all excited about it, you are quite baffled. An infant turns to toddler, toddler speaks, walks, is much fun. The un-babyfied you however, is like... dude. That's your baby. And then you have to do things, like: provide. I mean, of course, You're not a single mom, so you're lucky. You have help. A LOT of help. But still you are in an incredibly foreign country, and you have to work. Once you start working, as a mom you're all: "I can do this!"  and then, baby is in daycare,  and well, he's sick all the time. And you get sad, because you wish he weren't sick... because of course, you love him, but ESPECIALLY because you have to go to work, and don't have time for this. Oh Sweet Brown...how wise you are!
